Alexandra Arsenault, Endometriosis Advocate
Alexandra is a passionate advocate for people struggling with endometriosis. She hopes to empower fellow endo warriors through her own trials, tribulations, and successes to prove you can live a life where endometriosis does not define you.
Alexandra’s journey started with appendicitis in 2017, but she did not given a diagnosis until 2019 after having emergency surgery to remove a 12cm cyst. This surgery revealed she had Stage 4 endometriosis, which also resulted in her losing her right ovary. This began Alexandra’s endometriosis journey, where she had to advocate for herself as a patient and ultimately seek out Dr.Seckin for excision surgery.
Alexandra’s surgery was on March 2, 2023. The surgery consisted of removing a cyst, repairing 30 endometriosis lesions, and repairing her bowel. Fast-forward two years, and Alexandra has a one-year-old son and is 31 weeks pregnant with her second son. She wants to shed light on the positive outcome of her surgery and how it gave her the ability to become a mother.
