Dr. Jennifer Okwerekwu is a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist and an expert in Women's Mental Health and Reproductive Psychiatry. Her work focuses on the intricate relationship between hormonal transitions and mental health, from the onset of menses through menopause, with a special emphasis on endometriosis-related challenges. Her integrative approach combines evidence-based psychiatric care with a deep understanding of the hormonal and physical challenges at the intersection of women's mental health and mental health. Dr. Okwerekwu's approach goes beyond traditional psychiatric care. She incorporates integrative and holistic methods to create customized treatment plans that address both the physical and emotional aspects of living with a chronic illness.

With a distinguished educational background, including degrees from Harvard College and Columbia University, Dr. Okwerekwu completed her psychiatry residency at Cambridge Health Alliance-Harvard Medical School. She further honed her skills in Women's Mental Health and Reproductive Psychiatry at The Brigham and Women's Hospital. Currently, Dr. Okwerekwu provides telepsychiatry services through her private practice, Coral Psychiatry, serving patients in CA, IL, FL, MA, MN and NY. She also works as an emergency psychiatrist at hospitals in New York and California.
